Yay! We made it!

Got my hard copies this afternoon of Asian Journal’s Thanksgiving Supplement. Thanks so much, Amee! My kids were so silly, running around the house saying, “We’re famous! We’re famous!”. Not really, kids (the article mentioned them being homeschooled, that’s all). It took a while to get their feet back on the ground, LOL. I’m a bit embarrassed that ALL the photos were printed, though. I thought Amee wanted “spread” shots only so I took 3, not knowing they were going to use ALL of them. I would have sent close-ups, but oh well…. the food is gone, and now I have to get started on tomorrow’s feast. My newlywed bro and his wife are coming over for a quiet holiday celebration. Anyone going shopping on Black Friday? Today we were at Toys R Us and I heard the cashier tell someone they need to go to blackfriday.com. I’m off to see what it’s all about right now. I’m not done with my Christmas shopping yet. Ack! Are you?

You ARE famous! Can we read the write-up on-line?
hi mia! i *think* it’s at http://www.asianjournal.com/pdf/webpaper/ pero you need to use explorer, not mozilla or opera or another browser. i tried to access it earlier but lost patience with my dial-up. it’s the thanksgiving supplement, though at the bottom of the paper it says this issue is a special edition — heehee, aliw! happy thanksgiving btw! kina mommy ba kayo mag-celebrate? we won’t see mine ’til dec. 2, mag-e-early christmas na daw kami.
Hey congratulations. You should be excited!
woohooo. sikat ha
happy thanksgiving stef. to you and your family.
Congratulations, Stef! That’s a great idea. Here we indigenize anything foreign, but there you “Filipinize” an American tradition. Admirable!
As I said before, galing ng TG dishes mo with Pinoy twist.
Congratulations for being featured!
Oo nga naman, famous na kayo.
Yipeeeee! congrats Stef. Kakabilib talaga.
For sure, dami pang susunod diyan.
(((((huggles))))
congrats stef.. happy for you
happy thanksgiving may pecan pie pala ako dito yumm
i want a copy stef where can i get one! gonna ask my LA connections…
congratulations, ayan na umpisa na! happy thanksgiving…and i want to avoid the crowds but looks like #1pogi wants to shop…it’s tempting but it’s crazy crowded.
hi stef, happy thanksgiving! i dropped by before to thank you for hosting LP#1, but i think you were on a trip. kumusta? congratulations! i’m happy for you, keep it coming! God bless you & your family!
Congrats! The article looks great.
I can’t understand getting up at at three or four in the morning to be at a store at five; don’t people understand the beauty of on-line shopping?
I mean, I can get *all* my Christmas shopping done, while wearing my pj’s, any time I want.
No sale is getting me out the door that freakin’ early!
Congratulations!!!
I’m so happy for you…and in general…”Celebrate Thanksgiving the Pinoy Way” WOOHOO!
Oh, and I am not even close to done with my Christmas shopping…Yikes!
Congrats, stef. Celeb ka na hahahaha How does it feel?
Hi Stef,
Wow… Congratulations! You are FAMOUS!!! Enjoy it. I’m sure there’s more to follow up. I’m sooo happy for you.
Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family.
hi stef! yey! that’s so neat! where can we get a copy here? mwahahaha!
happy thanksgiving!
it was so cold today so i didn’t bother packing up my kids and drag them along for black friday..oh well, there’s always a next time, right? i haven’t even started christmas shopping yet!
wow, thanks all, you are too kind
kalyn, you betcha!
dexie, how was your Thanksgiving? all turkeyed out? i know i am.
haha, celia, shhh!!! if you guys keep agreeing with my kids they’ll really start to believe you:D
kai, you’ll be proud to know a lot of pinoys do this, we’ve even got cities here that have simbang gabi leading up to Christmas. i think most Filipinos have actually done a lot to bring our culture into the places they live. it’s neat!
lani, magdilang-anghel ka sana! thanks!
ooh, yum, sha, penge naman! paborito namin ‘yan ng hubby.
stel, sorry, i think sa SFO area. for all i know these are now in the recycle centers ready to be made into next week’s issue
hey scanns! long time no see. kumusta na!? trip na naman kami, leaving in a few hours.
stephanie, the surprising thing is that i talked to several people recently who expressed SHOCK that i would be so daring as to shop online all the time. i thought everyone did it that way now. i HATE shopping at the stores.
sassy and mae, haha!! i wish! ask me again pag may food network show na ‘ko muhahahaha!!!
hehe, ces, onllne shopping na lang! yesterday it was 15 degrees here — yikes! no way i’ll go out in that kind of weather to shop!
Congratulations! I didn’t know I am acquainted with a celebrity
Hi all. I’m from the Asian Journal, the newspaper that published Stef’s recipes. I’ve noticed that you guys wanted copies? Maybe I can send some to Stef and she can send them to you. Just let me know how many copies you need.
o, eh di sino pala ang celebrity ngayon? heheheee . . . congrats stef! pahingi kami ni karen ng kopya ha . . . hehehe . . .
w00t! Stef! I have to make a run to my local pinoy store since they distribute these. Hopefully meron pa. Since they’re freebies they go quickly.
Congrats on getting published and what a great menu! And a big, big, big pat on the back for you since you homeschool. I’m a fan of homeschooling mommies and daddies! I know you put in a lot of hard work and a lot of love into that. What blessed kiddies you have
Congrats Stef! I can’t wait to read the Asian Journal the next time I go to Goldilocks. Do you know if they only have ONE Thanksgiving Edition? Kasi AJ usually has an LA, Northern CA and Las Vegas edition. I can’t find it on their website yet.
BTW my sis Jen loves your website
hi adele, hey, thanks for visiting!!! i believe it’s the northern ca version. i hope you find it! if you don’t, let me know, i may be able to send you an extra copy. hi to jen and everyone.
hi phisch, i may be able to send you a copy too, when i get back home. are you planning to homeschool too?
mike, s’yempre….
hi jmom, haha! no, that was like 2 seconds of fame. no dent on rachael ray’s armor that’s for sure hahaha!!!
