Great post as usual, stef, packed full of information. You are so right, my MIL was one of those people who didn’t like her kitchen “messed up” so she kept everyone out while she’s cooking. It’s a wonder her kids all learned how to cook anyway. She always marvelled how I’ve always allowed my kids to be literally underfoot while I’m cooking. But, like you said, the kitchen is the greates classroom of all. Right now, my oldest daughter (14 yrs) is interested in handling meat more, so I’ve started teaching her how to cut up a whole chicken. Anatomy lesson in an instant!

I just LOVE a crowded kitchen. Love the pic of you and your girls that’s how it should be all over the world.
