Yena’s not a baby anymore. No, there’s no denying it. I miss her being a baby, though I love her more by the day (just like all my other kids — so I know it IS possible:D).

At the church bathroom on Ash Wednesday, I turned her faucet on just when she wasn’t looking, so it surprised her that the water was running. She turns to me, all amazed and goes, “How did you do that???!!!” Then she follows it with, “It’s a miracle!” Bless her little heart.

Yesterday, she woke up and got dressed — she refuses to have me dress her now, and would rather stumble to her dresser while still half-asleep than to have me rummage around in there and decide what *I* want her to wear. After getting dressed, she asked me to come with her downstairs for breakfast, and I reminded her that she hasn’t prayed yet. She promptly folded her hands together and bowed, her elbows on my side table. But she was silent, so I started, “Lord, please help me be good today”, at which point Migi yells from the connecting room — “Yena, look at this!” Yena gets up from her prayer, and I remind her that she isn’t done praying, so she goes back “into position” just in time for me to say “Amen” for her, and off she runs.

Dad was laughing the other day (a rarity these days that he’s been stressed and sick) — because Yena plays Master Pak’s Korean CD — and she follows, except that he’s already difficult to understand (terminorogy), and she makes it worse (teh-mi-no-wo-jee). It was good to see Bong laugh heartily, shoulders shaking. I pray he’s back to normal soon.

Well, we made progress today. The boys helped out a lot — with laundry at the laundromat (the Speed Queen is coming next week!), and cleaning the living area, dining area, breakfast area and kitchen. So tomorrow they get to play on the computer right after breakfast, so they’re thrilled. OF COURSE.

Tomorrow we work on finishing the study — it *has* to be done by Monday, or we’ll have trouble getting started “properly” with homeschooling again. I gotta order that Algebra I course for Aisa. At least we’ve moved on to Biology. sigh. Now I’ll have that chemistry thing hanging over my head. ugh.

Migi’s calling. ‘Til next time.
